Actor Profile: Emma Watson

Um. Yes, please.
Personal Life
Emma was born in Paris on April 20, 1990 to 2 British lawyers. Following their divorce at age 5, she moved to Oxfordshire with her mother and younger brother. She did all sorts of non-professional acting as a child up until her big role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. As she grew older, she started to show an interest in fashion and modeling, working for both Burberry and People Tree. She is rather intelligent, as evidenced by her straight A’s on her GCSE exams in 2006 and her admission to Brown University. Emma has 1 brother, 3 half-brothers, and 2 twin half-sisters.

Critical Reception
Emma has been nominated for awards such as “Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actress”, “Best Actress”, and “Best Female Performance” in all of the Harry Potter films to date, and a nomination for “Best UK TV Actress” for her role in Ballet Shoes.  They have come from organizations such as MTV, Nickelodeon, SyFy, Otto Awards, and others. She has won 11 of her 24 nominations. Fan reception is generally very popular for her role in Harry Potter.

The Future
Although she seems to be a somewhat talented actress, Emma has only ever played one big role, and in eight different movies. She’ll probably have to work pretty hard at overcoming being typecast as a Hermione-esque character. It looks as though she might be taking a step in that direction already, as she's in talks to co-star alongside Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman in the film adaption of Stephen Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. This could be an important post-Potter step in her career.
